People have been able to watch TV online for a while now but in the past, because of limited internet download speeds watching TV online meant jerky pictures and poor sound quality but thankfully those days are long gone.

That includes episodes of 24.. Lost.. FastForward.. anything! It really is that simple so don't threat if you're going to miss your favourite show, simply go to TVNZ and watch TV online for free.

Just be aware that when we watch TV online it can take a hefty chunk out of our bandwidth allowance.. for example, to watch an episode of 24 online would typically use about 300MB of data downloaded to your PC or Laptop so although the ability to watch TV online is free, unless you have an unlimited data broadband package then downloads still cost you in data.

i want to watch tv online but not just NZ TV!

Ok, say for instance that you want to watch TV online but you don't want to limit yourself to NZ shows, or tv broadcast on the TVNZ network. What are your options? Well again good news as there are ways you can watch TV online not limited to this country.

There are two ways you can do this.. the long time consuming method or the quick and easy way.. hmm.. The long way to watch TV online involves scouring the net, making endless google searches, going to other countries, other TV networks and trying to track down an episode of your favourite show. This, although possible, can be very tedious work and even then you are not guaranteed the outcome you want. If you want to watch TV online that has been broadcast in another country sometimes the TV networks limit the streaming to residents of that country only.

The short way involves downloading a software package that does all the hard work for you. BE WARY. There are packages on the market that claim to offer access to this, that and the other but more often that not they prove nothing to be short of false promises.
